This unique family has a distinctive feature that has been passed down on the maternal side. Starting from the great-grandmother, all four women have a tuft of white hair growing from the hairline in the front.
MilliAnne, 18 months has the exact same ‘birthmark’ as her mother and grandmother. A snow-white tuft of hair sprouting from the hairline. MilliAnne Worthy from Ridgeland, South Carolina, and her mother Brianna are a special mother-and-daughter pair. Having this mutually recognizable birthmark as a special characteristic contributes to their already existing close bond.
The cause of the white is called Poliosis and is a condition that is the result of a lack of pigment in the hair and skin. “We are unsure how far back the birthmark goes as my grandmother was adopted as a child and hasn’t met her biological family,” Brianna told the Daily Mail. “I was hoping she did have it. My younger sister that my mother had a few years after me didn’t get it, so I didn’t know if MilliAnna was going to, but once I had her and they laid her on my chest and I saw she had it I was so happy.”
